About Our Cooking Camps

Cook, bake, and  decorate as we focus on teamwork and how to get organized. Young chefs will learn what it's like to cook as chef in a commercial kitchen. We will have local chefs stop by to show us there skills and they learn how food gets from the farm to their tables.  


Here, young chefs will learn about food that is both tasty and healthy. They will be preparing the meals themselves. Whether it’s your child’s first every hands-on cooking experience, our camp is bound to become a memory that they will never forget.

 

Full day camps run every other week and we also have Part Time Day Camps.  Camps are open for children ages 7 to 16.  Click on the Class Schedule Button to  registration.

Full Time Camp Information 

  • Days: Monday - Friday 
  • Time: 9am - 3pm
  • Price: $300.00 per week or $60.00 per day
  • Class Size is Limited to 12 students per week.
  • Before & After Care: $10.00 per day for 1 hour before & after
  • Part Time Camp Information 

  • Days: Monday Wednesday  Friday 
  • Time: 10am - 2:30pm
  • Price: $65.00 per day or $195.00 for all 3 days
  • Class Size is Limited to 12 students per week

  • 2018 Summer Camp Weeks

     

    Week 1 : 6/4 - 6/8 - Full Time

    Anyone Can Cook**(Ages 7-10)


    Every chef starts at the beginning. In this camp, kids will learn the basic recipes that everyone needs to know to be a successful cook! Chefs will roast a chicken, learn knife and safety skills while making vegetable soup and many other delicious classics.



    Week 2  - 6/11 - 6/15  Mini Camps

    Mini Camp Week  **(Ages 5-15)

    During our mini-camp week we are offering a variety of 2-4 hour cooking workshops. Please see the class schedule for more details.

    Week 3:  6/18 - 6/22 Full Time

    Road Trip Across America **(Ages 7-10) 

    No need to sit in the car for hours to enjoy the tastes of some of your favorite foods from around the USA, escape with the Chefs at Little Chefs In Training Cooking School as we cook up some fun together!



    Week 4: 6/25, 6/27,  6/29  Part Time

    Baking Competition  
    **(Ages 10-16)

    Students will enjoy 2 rounds of team  competition. Teams will work together to take each other down. Our young chefs will be presented with baking challenge. Teams will not be eliminated but scored at the end of each round and the winner will be announced at the end.

    Week 5: 7/2 - 7/6 - Full Time

    Food From Around the World 

    **Ages (11-16)

    No passport needed for this food adventure as we create new dishes everyday including: tamales from Mexico, egg rolls from Asia, fresh pasta from Italy, French Crepes and other international favorites.

    Week 6: Private Charity Week 

     

    Week 7: 7/16 - 7/20 Full TIme
    Farm to Table ** (Ages 7-10)

    Going to the farmer's market and seeing all the beautiful fresh produce inspires us to create delicious fresh dishes! During this camp chefs will create fresh dishes such as Homemade Salsa, Refrigerator Quick Pickles, Chocolate Zucchini Bread, and Carrot Cake Cupcakes.

    Week 8: 7/23 - 7/27  Full Time

    Farmers Market **(Ages 11-16)


    Students will enjoy creating their own farmers market stand concept. From logo to menu pricing. They will also craft recipes to fit into that concept.  

    Week 9: 7/30 - 8/3 Full Time

    Food Science **(Ages 11 -16)


    Experiment in the kitchen with new recipes, activities, and skills that will expand your understanding of the science behind food. We turn our kitchen into lab as we learn how a little curiosity and science can improve your cooking and baking.
